Missions - Raising Up Worshipers of God
Around the World
"Missions is not the ultimate goal of the church. Worship is. Missions exists because worship doesn't. Worship is ultimate, not missions, because God is ultimate, not man. When this age is over, and the countless millions of the redeemed fall on their faces before the throne of God, missions will be no more. It is a temporary necessity. But worship abides forever."
--- John Piper, Pastor, Bethlehem Baptist Church
Our Motivation for Missions:
"After this I looked and there was before me a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and in front of the Lamb...And they cried out in a loud voice: 'Salvation belongs to our God, who sits on the throne and to the Lamb.'"
--- Rev 7:9-10
What is Missions at Discovery Hills?
Missions is any activity of the people in the congregation who walk with Christ by faith that seeks to fulfill the Great Commission of Christ by proclaiming the Gospel, making disciples and gathering these disciples into local congregations, and by ministering to the needs of the whole person (Matt. 28:18-20).
